A unique project for the Russia’s Far North with the goal of creating a public space for existing and future generations of young citizens called Park for Future Generations is launching in the capital of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic. The successful new park concept should also be applied to other Arctic cities. The intention is to prove that the idea of comfortable city environment is universal and does not depend on climate conditions.
The park concept will be chosen as a result of an open nationwide competition. Best Russian architects and designers will be engaged in developing the innovative and highly functional public space open throughout the year. The Special Purpose Fund of Future Generations of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic NPO is the initiator of the project. Agency for Strategic Development “CENTER” is the competition operator.
The open nationwide competition for development of the architectural concept and general plan of the Park for Future Generations public space in Yakutsk, Sakha Republic, will be launched on November 20 at 10:00 by Agency “CENTER” at a press conference during the Zodchestvo-2018 festival, the main architectural festival of the country. A recorded version of the press conference will be available on the official YouTube channel of Agency “CENTER”.
