The Finalists of the Open International Competition for the development of the master plan of Grozny were determined
On May 31, in the conference hall of the Chechen State Pedagogical University, the Jury meeting of the Open International Competition for the development of the master plan of Grozny on the selection of Finalists took place.
The Finalists are:
- The consortium led by the Artemi Lebedev Studio (Moscow, Russia);
- The Consortium “the City of Generations” (Moscow, Russia);
- The consortium led by MASTER’S PLAN (Moscow, Russia).
The Jury, chaired by the Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, included 20 experts in the field of architecture, urban planning, territorial development and digitalization from Azerbaijan, Qatar, China, the United Arab Emirates and Russia.
The Jury praised the quality of the procedure and the applications.
In the near future, the Finalists will begin studying the analytical research “Comprehensive Assessment of the Development Potential of Grozny, Chechen Republic”, prepared by the Agency for Strategic Development "CENTER".
At the end of June, the teams will take part in the Installation seminar in Grozny to fully immerse themselves in the issues of city development. The Finalists will get acquainted with the territory, meet with representatives of the executive power, the professional architectural community, historians, cultural experts and active citizens and community leaders.
The Winner of the competition will be determined on September 29.
