The experience of 20 years ago, when the architect’s role wasn’t the most significant, and the developer made all key decisions, is a thing of the past. Today, both sides are committed to creating an effective end product, which is only possible with teamwork. Quality and diversity come to the forefront as key points of difference. Architects and developers are united in understanding the importance of teamwork, which takes it to a new level. The new time makes very high demands on us – an architect has to be a developer, a product manager, an analyst, and a marketing expert. Each new platform means new challenges and tasks.

The participants of the session discussed how to build effective communication between teams of architects and developers, how to achieve an integrated approach to spatial development, how to address differences in the architect’s and developer’s approaches to creating a project, and how to turn a commercial project into a landmark.

The International Sustainable Cities Forum will close on September 13. The second and third days of the program will be held in the format of on-site tours to facilities in Moscow, including those aimed at organization of public spaces.
