On September 11, a seminar "Minusinsk. People. Future” was held in Minusinsk, dedicated to engagement of its residents in discussion of urban environment development. The event was organized by the Andrey Melnichenko Foundation and hosted by experts from the Agency for Strategic Development CENTER.
The participants of the seminar learned about the importance of the master plan for an industrial city, as well as discussed the objectives in the areas of improving the urban environment, amenities, culture and quality of life. During the discussions, the residents made their proposals on how they see the future of Minusinsk and what the city needs for development.
Nikolai Timchenko, CEO of the Agency for Strategic Development CENTER, noted: “Modern master planning is not only about design, but also about the ability to manage the master plan so that it brings real results for the city. The master plan of Minusinsk should be economically sound and actionable.”
The seminar was an important step towards creating a strategy that will help Minusinsk develop in accordance with the needs of residents and growth prospects.
