During the session, the experts discussed the importance of architectural competitions as an effective tool for development of high-quality projects in the area of urban planning and architecture. Architectural competitions have become an integral part of the process of creating urban spaces, promoting interaction between authorities, business and the expert community.

Nikolai Timchenko, CEO of the Agency for Strategic Development CENTER, noted: “An architectural competition is not just a competition of ideas, but also an opportunity for professionals to demonstrate their skills, and for the customer to get the best solution for the urban environment. The competitions help not only to identify the strongest experts, but also offer the city new perspectives and big changes.”

Participants shared their recommendations on selecting competitions to take part in, strategies for preparing for them, and also spoke about the importance of competitions for professional development and growth. Particular attention was paid to supporting students and young professionals in their participation in competitions.

The event ended with a Q&A session, where participants were able to ask experts their questions and discuss current topics in architectural practice.
